New Audi A1 and A1 Sportback

The Audi A1 and A1 Sportback comes with six engine prices, petrol and diesel. For the first time, Audi is offering a choice of completely new three-cylinder engines, the 1.0 TFSI and the 1.4 TDI – highly efficient without affecting driving dynamics. Fuel economy has been improved throughout the engine lineup by as much as ten percent, and power output ranges from 90 hp to 189 kW. The seven-speed S tronic is available for all engines.

The Audi A1 1.0 TFSI (provisional data) with (95 hp) of power has a combined fuel consumption of just 4.3 litres fuel per 100 kilometres (99 g CO2 per km). The three-cylinder diesel, the 1.4 TDI ultra with (90 hp), attains an NEDC fuel consumption of 3.4 litres fuel per 100 kilometres (89 g CO2 per km): making it the first ultra-model in the Audi A1 and Audi A1 Sportback range.

The new Audi A1 catches the eye with their sporty lines. Exterior design is now even sportier, and they are two centimetres longer with a length of 3.98 metres. As an option, Audi can deliver the roof arch (of the A1) or roof dome (of the A1 Sportback) in a contrasting color. Enhanced customisation options are available through a new options list.

The interior of the new Audi A1 and A1 Sportback is spacious and sophisticated. The layout of its controls is clean, and fine chrome trim strips make its design even more elegant. The infotainment line-up was specially configured to meet the needs of young customers. The top components are MMI navigation plus and the Audi connect module including car phone. The latter brings the online services of Audi connect into the vehicle and provides a WiFi hotspot.

The updated A1 will be launched in Ireland during the first quarter of 2015.
