The new Audi A3 is now on sale, initially in a range of 3-door hatchback models, to be followed in 2013 by a saloon version. The 1.4 TFSI is now available from €27,400, the 1.6TDI diesel from €28,400 and from November the 1.2TFSI from €25,900. These are OTR (on-the-road) prices. Three petrol engines in the range are 1.2, 1.4 and 1.8 litre, and 1.6 and 2.0 litre turbo diesels, all offering greater fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions and overally improved efficiency for accelerative performance and effortless cruising pace. The all new A3 is completely redesigned inside and out, and whilst the styling is rather conservative the in-your-face Audi front grille certainly commands bothe respect and attention. Standard equipment is most comprehensive, with lots of extra cost options also available. Test driving a selection of A3's proved most enjoyable, especially the sporty performance, sharp handling and ride comfort over a wide mix of roads in Kerry and on the long return drive from Dublin to killarney.

Audi Ireland has an expansion programme of hig tec dealerships to cope with an increasing range featuring over 40 different models on offer in 2013 Audi Ireland further strengthened its position as the number one premium car brand in the Irish market by achieving a national market share of 5.5 percent for the month of August and 4.6 percent year-to-date. In just eight months, Audi registrations surpassed the total 2011 figures.

The Audi A6 model proved to be particularly successful with Irish motorists and the Audi brand also booked strong growth with the top selling A1 and A4 models. The A3 is expected to further establish Audi is the popularitry stakes of the premium German brand.
