ALL GO FOR SKODA CITIGO By Brian Foley

The Skoda Citigo, a sibling of the Volkswagen up! city car, has arrived on the Irish car market, listed from €9,995 (plus delivery)

The Citigo is available in 3 and 5-door hatchback models with two petrol engine options including 1.0 Litre 60bhp and 75bhp power units with fuel economy from 4.5l/100km. VRT and Road Tax falls into Band-A thanks to emissions of just 105g/km.

With ESP and side Head Thorax airbags fitted as standard the new Citigo is one of the safest cars in its class achieving a 5-star rating from the EuroNCAP.

Manual transmission is the norm for the smaller cars, but a new 5-speed automatic transmission with sequential grear change is on offer for an extra . €750.

All Citigo models come equipped with a mobile-sat-nav docking station as standard to which SKODA’s optional mobile navigation system (€349) can connect. This system also provides BlueTooth hands free and mp3 play back functionality for increased safety and comfort.

We are also forecasting demand with Ireland’s lowest priced automatic car - the Citigo 1.0MPI 60bhp ASG from just €10,745.”
